2016 Annual Meeting

The 2016 Annual Meeting for the Historical Society Church of God Movements is scheduled for May 26, 2016 at the Springplace Road Church of God of Prophecy. The public is invited.

This year's topic is "Sanctification and Holiness in the Church of God Movements."

9:30 AM - Welcome and introductions by President Robert L. George

9:45 AM - Presentation by Dr. Terril Littrell, "John Wesley and Sanctification."

10:45 AM - Break

11:00 AM - Presentation by Robert L. George, "Holiness in Bradley County, 1880-1906, culminating in the Methodist holiness camp meeting site at Lake Wildwood."

11:30 AM - Presentation by Dr. David Roebuck, "A.J. Tomlinson at Wildwood Camp meeting."

12:00 Noon - Business and information, Election, and discussion of next year meeting.

12:15 PM - Adjourn

Walk to Lake Wildwood

Followed by lunch at Anggie’s Restaurant on 64 ByPass.

2016 Annual Meeting

The annual meeting of the Historical Society of Church of God Movements will be May 26, 2016 at Spring Place Church in Cleveland, Tennessee.

The program will include:

• Dr. Terril Littrell - speaking on John Wesley and sanctification. 
• Robert L. George - speaking on Holiness in Bradley County during 1880-1906 culminating in the Methodist Holiness Camp Meeting at Lake Wildwood.
• Dr. David Roebuck - speaking on A.J. Tomlinson's move to Bradley County and his speaking at Lake Wildwood. 

A visit to Lake Wildwood will occur after the program.

The Society will elect new officers. The current nominees include;

• President - Cary Ryan
• First Vice President - Shawn McKinney
• Second Vice President - Don Brock
• Secretary/Treasurer, TBA
